I was out at my friend Nikki's house the other week and in the oven she was baking what smelled like a delicious Date Loaf! After smelling her house it was all I was craving so I whipped up this super easy and delicious Sultana Loaf. It was so scrummy and left my house smelling edible!
Spread a lil butter over it and enjoy with your fave hot drink xx
Ingredients:
1 cup of sultanas
1 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of baking soda
25g butter
1cup of boiling water
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon of mixed spice
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 egg
1 teaspoon vaniilla essence
Directions:
1. Mix the Sultanas, sugar and baking soda together in a bowl.
2. Add the chopped up butter then pour in the boiling water slowly. Stir together and the butter should start to melt
3.Mix the flour and spices together and add to the mixture then add the egg and vanilla essence.
4. Stir to mix all ingredients together
5. Put it into a loaf tin and cook on 150 degrees for an hour.
DELISH!!
